Exporting to PDF
PDFs are quite useful for sharing or printing. On many course platforms, teachers can also add markings and notation over PDF files, making them the most versatile exporting format for turning in exercises.
Creating a PDF from a single page
- From the File menu, choose "Export page" and "Export as PDF"
- Change the pdf options to your liking. You can, for example, change the page size or margins. By hovering your mouse pointer over the preview, you will see a zoomed-in version.
- When the settings are to your liking, click on "Export as PDF". This may take a moment.
- Now the PDF file is being created. Please wait!
- When the exporting finishes, you will be asked to pick a save location for the file. Choose the location, type in a name, and click on "Save".
- All done! L'Math will open the created file in your default PDF viewer (or will ask you to choose one).
Creating a PDF from multiple pages
- From the File menu, choose "Export page" and "Export as PDF"
- Choose the pages that you want to export. From the left-hand side list, click on the desired pages, or click on "Select all" to add all pages. To remove a page from the export, click on it on the right-hand side list.

Exporting as HTML
L'Math can export pages as HTML pages or code snippets for embedding to external websites or blogs.
Creating an HTML page from a worksheet page
-
Choose "Export page" from the File menu and select "Export as a HTML page"
-
Now the HTML file will be created. This may take a moment, depending on the amount of images and formulas on the page.
-
When the file is exported, L'Math will ask you to choose a save location for the file. Pick a location, type in a name and click on "Save".
-
All done! The created file will be opened in your default browser. Now you have an HTML file ready to use!
Copying an HTML snippet from a page
-
From the File menu, choose "Export page" and "Export as HTML code"
If you choose the online option, the exported HTML code will contain formulas as shorter image links. Then, an internet connection will be required when viewing the snippet.
If you choose the version without "online", the formulas will be embedded to the code as vector graphics, and the exported HTML snippet works correctly even without an internet connection.
-
Now L'Math will export the HTML snippet. This may take a moment, depending on the amount of images and formulas on the page.
-
When exporting the HTML snippet finishes, L'Math will display the generated code in an alert dialog. Click on the text box, select all text with Ctrl + A (or cmd ⌘ + A on Mac), and copy the code with Ctrl + C (or cmd ⌘ + C on Mac).
-
All done! Now you can copy and paste the exported HTML code to your website or blog.
Copying content as an image
L'Math allows copying the selection as an image. The options are with or without a background, or an L'Math brand background.

All done! The image will be copied to your clipboard, and you will be able to paste the image wherever you want.
