Installing L'Math on Windows

L'Math can be installed on Windows, macOS and Linux systems. This guide will help you in installing L'Math on Windows.

 System requirements

  • Windows 10 or newer
  • At least 2 gigabytes of free space
  • Administrator privileges

 This tutorial only works for the free private version

This guide page instructs you to install the free private version of L'Math. You shouldn't follow this guide page if you are installing the organizational version.

How to install

1. Download the installer

Start by downloading the latest installer package from the download page. After this, open the installer by clicking on it.

Windows might require you to accept running the installer by clicking 'Show more' and 'Run anyway'.

After that, you also need to allow running the installer as administrator.

 

2. Choose your language

The installer will ask you to select the language to use during the installation. After installation, the language should also be chosen as the primary language of the application.

 

3. Read and accept the license terms

The installer will ask you to read and agree to the license terms (EULA).

 

4. Configure the installation

Now the installer will ask you to choose any possible additional features, such as a shortcut on your desktop. If you want to have a shortcut to L'Math on your desktop, please ensure that the checkbox for it is checked.

A notice about changing the install location

Please do not pick an installation directory with special symbols or letters (or scandinavian åäö) in the path. It could cause issues with some 3rd party libraries.

 

5. Proceed to installation!

At this point, the installer will check if your system meets some of the installation requirements, such as free disk space. If any problems are found, you will be notified about them at this point.

 

6. Wait for the installer to do its magic...

Now the installer will extract and install L'Math onto your computer. This may take a few minutes depending on the used system.

 

7. All done!

If the installation was successfull, the installer will greet you with a success screen. Now you may finish the installation by closing the installer.
